AL FAROOQI ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS BUREAU / STRUCTURAL DIVISION specialize in structural design and supervision of various kinds of structures and implementation of the latest technologies in the construction industry.

The following are the projects that company has successfully designed:

1. PRECAST CONCRETE

a) Pre-cast buildings of large area and volume (shopping malls, industrial buildings);
b) Pre-cast car park structures;
c) Pre-cast high rise buildings;
d) Pre-cast bridges; large bridge beams.

For projects constructed in precast concrete technology, pre-stressing and post-tensioning methods have been widely applied.

2. CAST IN SITU CONCRETE

a)  Concrete high rise tower structures;
b) Various C.I.S structures, residential, commercial,  with large areas and volume;
c) Industrial plants with specific requirements for equipment installation.

For C.I.S. structures, the search for most economical solutions has been targeted; value engineering process  follows Contractor’s requirements.

3. STEEL STRUCTURES

a) Various building steel framings; high rise structures;
b) Verification of space frame structures designed by the manufacturer/supplier
d)  Large steel roof structures; space frame structures;

The projects in steel have been followed through fabrication and erection; the shop drawings have been produced as required.

4. Rectification / renovation works

Structural strengthening has been designed and followed trough rectification works for structures with various damages.

5.  Foundation, piles design

Various foundation systems have been designed, including mat slabs, isolated footings, precast driven piles, bored piles systems and pile-raft systems.

Company was established in Cyprus, under the name of PROPYLION ENGINEERING LIMITED, and worked under this name from December 1991 until 1st October 1999.

With the sponsorship change in Kuwait and restructuring of business activities, the Company has made the Agreement with AL FAROOQI ENG. CONSULTANTS on 1st October 1999, and created the STRUCTURAL DIVISION.

Under the Agreement, all legal requirements for local Consulting offices have been fulfilled.

Company’s engineering and drafting staff is highly professional. The core of the Company is 8 structural engineers and 8 structural technicians permanently employed. In the peaks of work the staff has been several times increased as required, the part timers being highly rated engineers, or trained structural and CAD technicians.

Company is following the latest drafting technologies in CAD system. Structural software is STAADIII, and ROBOT, the latest versions.

The main characteristics of Company’s work are fast, reliable and economical structural design in all fields of Construction industry. The reference is the long list of completed projects where, during more than 19 years of activities, no structural problems have been found.
